The CVA Board of Directors is pleased to announce the reopening of our weekly Saturday Public Session program. The Public Session will resume on Saturday, June 27th, 2020.
Due to County Pandemic regulations, there will be significant changes to how CVA offers the Public Session program. These changes will allow CVA to deliver the shooting experience that the Public has come to enjoy while still adhering to County safety requirements.
Facemasks are a requirement to be on the Range. Please be sure to bring your own mask to use while on the CVA Range.
CVA’s Public Session will have two 2-hour shooting sessions:
- Session 1 starts at 8:30am and once full no new shooters will be allowed on the range. If Session 1 is not full we will accept new archers into the Session until 9:45am, after which the Session is closed. Session 1’s shooting ends at 10:15am.
- Session 2 starts at 10:30am and once full no new shooters will be allowed on the range. If Session 2 is not full we will accept new archers into the Session until 12:45pm, after which the Session is closed. Session 2’s shooting ends at 1:00pm.
Please be sure to note each Session’s start and end times so you don’t come to the range and cannot shoot that day due to the range being full.
CVA Members, please utilize CVA’s other three ranges if you are planning on shooting on Saturdays. We need to reserve space on the Public Session range for Public archers.
CVA is excited to be able to offer our Public Shooting program again and hope to see you there!

Who are the Conejo Valley Archers?
Located in the southeast corner of Ventura County, California, 30 miles from downtown Los Angeles, in the city of Simi Valley, CVA is a field archery club under the guidance of the National Field Archery Association (NFAA) and US Archery (USAA). We are private club registered with the IRS as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with approximately 500 members.
Our 80 acre facility includes a 28 target NFAA Certified, 5-Star Roving Field Range. This range simulates a true roving field shooting experience and this is where we hold our monthly Club Shoots, where members can compete for Year End Club Awards.
We also have one of the largest permanent NFAA certified 3D Range facilities in CA. The 3D range covers 9 acres with 25-3D animal targets. Our newest feature includes "The Dock" where archers can ‘bow fish’ in our newly created ‘fishing pond’! See the 3D Range section to learn more.
We also offer our Public Session Range Area where we run our JOAD and Adult Pin Programs, and a weekly 300 Round held during our Open Public Sessions. CVA produces archers that compete in all levels of NFAA and USAA at local, state, national and international levels. Check out our JOAD and PIN Programs section tab to learn more about training opportunities for kids and adults.
Each Saturday at the Public Session Range Area we offer an Open Public Session from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm for a nominal range fee donation. This fee includes all equipment, instruction, and safety gear necessary to learn the sport of archery. See the Public Archery section for more info.
Lastly, we have opened our new Tournament Range Facility. Thanks to the Easton Foundation for providing the grant funds, this range provides a 40 lane outdoor shooting area where we will hold NFAA 300, 900 Rounds, FITA, and other outdoor tournaments. See the Tournament Range Facility section for more information about our Tournament Range.
We hold our own CVA hosted tournaments throughout the year so be sure to check back often to get scheduling and tournament information.
